It has been a crazy week at work, which is another story. It means that I did not have time to workouts for a few days, which reminded me that sometimes it is better to Just Not Do It. The forced holiday has brought quite a dramatic improvement to my lower back and leg issues. What a huge relief.
I am actually waking up in the morning without pain for the first time in 5 weeks, and I am not feeling any real pain throughout the day either. I have lots of stretching ahead of me though.
Last night I got back on routine with an intense 30 minutes on the bike, and the treadmill for 25 minutes; I still haven't hit the pavement. Perhaps this weekend.
I have been keeping my mileage up in my absence from the streets. (Isn't it time we create a similar word to mileage for metric? What about Kiloactivity?) How you ask? Water running I respond.
It was suggested to me by a colleague, and has worked out really well. I am surprised what a great workout it is, and I plan to keep it as part of my routine once I am completely healthy. There are a few different approaches to this kind of workout; you can see for yourself with this Water Running Video. We are not speaking about the most scintillating activity in the world, but it works.
The donations are coming in. Please continue to support the cause.
